Mrs. Booth
As Instructional Support Teacher, at Hillcrest Elementary, my mission is to find what works for kids. Knowing that all students learn in their own unique way and at their own individualized pace, I am committed to matching their unique learning styles to their interventions and accommodations so they can meet with greater success. Focusing largely on academics, behavioral interventions are included in my role, as well. Coaching students in how to better focus, organize themselves and to develop the positive attitudes needed for success is also a big part of what I do. Educating the whole child through academics, behavioral strategies and social and emotional well-being will ensure each child's best chance for success and to become the best version of him or herself.
I am proud and excited to share that I have been teaching in Council Rock since 1994. I actually began my teaching career at Hillcrest as a third grade teacher, moved onto Churchville Elementary where I spent 15 years and returned to Hillcrest in 2010. My experience in inclusion and passion for thinking outside of the box to find ideas that help kids learn and bring "aha" moments to them has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I am excited to walk on this journey with your child and can't wait for the success he or she will yield.
Personally, I reside in the Council Rock School District and am proud to say that my kids are products of Council Rock. I have been married for 23 years and together, we have three children and one pretty cool Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Baylee. My oldest daughter is a junior in college, my son a college freshman, and my youngest daughter entered her freshman year of high school this year. Each of my children play competitive ball. My oldest plays softball at the college level and my son plays baseball in college as well...and yes, our youngest hopes to do the same one day. When we are not on the ball fields, we like to take quick trips to our house in the mountains or a stay at the shore. We don't get that much down time, but when we do...it is even more appreciated.
