PEANUT-FREE & Healthy Snack CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
Peanut-Free Classroom Guidelines
We want to keep everyone safe this year. When bringing food for snacks, please keep in mind the peanut-safe guidelines outlined by the health office. All birthday goodies must be non-edible (pencil, eraser, stickers, etc.). Thank you for your support and understanding. For further clarification, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Tentilucci, at stentilucci@crsd.org.
SNACKS-HEALTHY
More than 9.2 million children and adolescents ages 6-19 are considered overweight or obese. Obesity increases a person’s risk for heart disease, Type II diabetes, stroke and many other chronic illnesses. According to the research, poor nutrition is one factor contributing to childhood obesity. Students are strongly encouraged to pack healthy foods to eat for daily snacks. Please contact the school nurse or your child’s teacher for a list of healthy snacks.
