Importance of Handwashing

Handwashing

As cold and flu season is upon us, this is a reminder of the importance of handwashing and good hygiene practices.

According to research and the Center for Disease Control, handwashing is an important measure in preventing the spread of germs and infection.

Remember to use soap and water, scrub between fingers, back of hands and under nails, wash for 30 seconds.

If your child becomes ill, it is important that he/she is fever free for 24 hrs. to allow adequate recovery time and prevent the spread of illness to other children. Fever free means no fever without Tylenol or Motrin.
